In the 2025 Legislative Session, Assembly Goulding, with the help of a broad coalition of stakeholders, was able to pass five bills into law:
- AB250: Protected victim survivors of domestic violence from economic abuse
- AB301: Added transparency to local governments, making local bodies more accountable
- AB360: Addressed congenital syphilis, giving newborns a chance to thrive and saving taxpayers countless dollars
- AB386: Reduced redundant testing for students so educators can focus on teaching
- AB415: Improved the process for removing junk, abandoned vehicles, and improving the quality of life in our neighborhoods
Looking forward, Assemblymember Goulding’s priorities are:
Access to Healthcare: Assemblymember Goulding served on the Health and Human Services Committee in the 2025 legislative session. She will continue to fight attempts to restrict access to reproductive health care and vaccines. Heather is also committed to making healthcare more accessible and affordable by increasing the number of healthcare providers in the state with a particular focus on mental healthcare providers. Goulding knows that our state is in a mental health care crisis and is committed to delivering results in the next legislative session.
Affordable Housing: Heather is committed to making housing more affordable by cracking down on out-of-state and foreign corporate ownership and by increasing our housing stock, especially affordable units.
Education: Building on previous success in the 2025 legislative session, where Heather spearheaded an effort to reduce redundant testing. Goulding is committed to reducing class sizes and advocating for better pay for educators.
Sustainable Energy: Assemblymember Goulding was one of five Assemblymembers to earn a perfect score from the Nevada Conservation League for her efforts in the last legislative session. With a background in energy program evaluation, Heather champions sustainable energy solutions for a healthier planet.
Election Protections: In the 2025 special legislative session, the Nevada Assembly took the first steps to protect mail-in voting in the Nevada State Constitution. Heather is committed to seeing this effort through and resisting efforts to undermine your voting rights.
